In light of COVID-19, what steps is The Montage taking to help protect guests?
At the resort, The Montage has launched an initiative to put safety first with an enhanced focus on overall cleanliness and hygiene, including increasing the frequencies of sanitization and deep cleaning high-touch areas. The latest cleanliness technologies have been integrated, including the use of electrostatic sprayers, UV wands and devices, and particulate level air filtration systems.
All public areas, including restaurants, bars, lounges, gyms and pools have a reduced capacity and thorough, thoughtful social distancing designs. Further, wherever possible, we have incorporated contactless service and deliveries.
Are masks or face coverings required at the resort?
In compliance with Summit County orders, face coverings are required to be worn by both associates and guests while in public spaces at the resort. Complimentary hand sanitizer and facial coverings are provided to all guests.
How have arrival and checkout procedures changed?
Check-in and check-out procedures have typically been a high-contact interaction and require specialized health and safety protocols. Registration cards, credit card devices, room keys and pens are sanitized with a UV wand before being provided to guests. Contactless Bell Services are available upon request for delivery and retrieval of luggage. Where appropriate, we encourage guests to use email and text, including check-out.
What measures have been taken to enhance the cleanliness standards of hotel rooms?
The associates at The Montage have undergone robust training protocols in CDC safety and sanitization guidelines. Daily health assessments, including temperature verification, are required for all housekeeping employees and gloves and masks must be worn when entering guest rooms. Housekeeping services can always be declined or staggered based on guest preference.
Each guest room includes individual hand sanitizer and packaged disinfectant wipes for use during your stay. Guest rooms are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly, in accordance with health and government guidelines. Extra pillows and blankets are no longer stored in guest rooms and are available by request only. All items delivered to or picked up from guest rooms are thoroughly sanitized.
Is Spa Montage and the Fitness Centers open?
The spa and fitness centers at The Montage are open with a reduction in capacity to allow for social distancing in public areas. Temperature screen processes have been implemented prior to entrance to Spa Montage. Increased cleaning and sanitation protocols have been implemented, as well as masks and gloves for all spa therapists. Hand sanitizers, masks, and gloves will also be provided for guest use. Each treatment has been scheduled with additional time between guests to allow for treatment spaces to be thoroughly cleaned. For now, the steam rooms, saunas, and plunge pools are temporarily closed.
What are the face mask and covering guidelines for Deer Valley Resort?
While on the Deer Valley property, guests are required to wear masks or face coverings at all times except while actively skiing and eating or drinking while seated at a table.
